Enchanted Village and Wild Waves These two-in-one Six Flags theme parks are located 17 miles south of Seattle in Federal Way. Enchanted Village offers a day full of rides. Wild Waves Water Park offers many exciting water rides and swimming pools. Pacific Science Center Under the arches near the Space Needle are six buildings of science adventure where kids can hang glide over a virtual city, play tic-tac-toe with a 10-foot robot, ride a bicycle high above the ground and shoot water cannons. The Imax Theater offers entertaining and educational films on a 3 1/2-story screen. Seattle Aquarium The Seattle Aquarium features an underwater room with a 360-degree view of more than 600 sea creatures. There are also sea mammal and environmental displays. An exciting new expansion project includes a 40 foot long viewing window. Woodland Park Zoo Heralded as one of the country's 10 best zoos, Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo provides a 92-acre home for nearly 300 animal species. Woodland Park has collected numerous exhibit-design awards and is noted for creating naturalistic habitats. |
